Dr. Loc T. Le graduated from Union College in Schenectady, N.Y., Magna Cum Laude, with a degree in Mathematics and Biology in 1984. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York in 1988. Dr. Le completed his Internship and Residency at the Sinai Hospital/Johns Hopkins Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program.
While at Sinai Hospital he received the Best Resident of the Year Award in 1991. He did his Gastroenterology Fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia where he received extensive training in therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy and hepatology.
A member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians, Dr. Le is Board Certified in Gastroenterology. Dr. Le is a former Chairman of the Division of Gastroenterology and Director of Endoscopy at Harbor Hospital of Baltimore (July 1998-July 2004).
He holds the ranks of Assistant Professor of Medicine, University of Maryland School of Medicine and Instructor in Medicine, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. As a teaching faculty member at Sinai Hospital and Harbor Hospital, he received the Golden Apple “Best Teacher of Year” Awards twice, in 1996 and 1998.
