Elliot Schwarzenberger, M.D., joins our team from Queens, N.Y. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Yeshiva University graduating Magna Cum Laude. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree at Stony Brook University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Beth Israel Medical Center. He followed with a fellowship in gastroenterology at Downstate Medical Center at Long Island College Hospital.

His interests include all areas of gastroenterology and hepatology. Of particular interest is hepatitis, inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer prevention. In addition, much of his training was devoted to management of diarrhea and constipation. His research on complications of liver disease has been published in a peer-review journal.
