Dr. Lila Tarmin graduated from Barnard College and Georgetown Medical School. She completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital and a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Maryland.

Dr. Tarmin’s research in gastro-intestinal oncology and inflammatory bowel disease has appeared in a number of professional journals. She has an interest in colon cancer screening, irritable bowel syndrome and treatment of obesity. A Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American Gastroenterology Association (AGA) and the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), Dr. Tarmin is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
