Dr. Diana Whitehead completed her gastroenterology fellowship with a focus on inflammatory disease at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. She also served as an instructor of medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Dr. Whitehead completed her residency in internal medicine at Brown University, Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, and earned her medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York.
Before joining our team, Dr. Whitehead served as the Director of the Inflammatory Disease Center at GBMC, where she established the program in 2018. She is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care and improving the lives of patients with gastrointestinal disorders and liver disease, with a particular interest in treating patients with ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.
Dr. Whitehead holds professional memberships in the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. She is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. Her expertise in inflammatory bowel disease has been recognized in several publications and peer-reviewed journals, and she has been named one of Baltimore Magazine’s Top Doctors.
